What’s Next?

This year, I am eagerly awaiting for these films to be shown here in the Philippines:
- Fantastic Four - I grew up loving comic book superheroes and with this family of superheroes coming to the screen, i can’t wait for it. I just hope this one will make me proud of being a comic book fan unlike Catwoman (well Elektra was better).
- Batman Begins - This time around, the Cape Crusader will be given a new treatment giving us a glimpse to his past, how he was able to learn all those stunts he can do and with a new director and actor. I like Chris Nolan’s film, i mean i loved those 2 movies he did (Insomia and Memento) and I’ve seen them all. It was very much intriguing and I am sure he will bring intrigues to his new Batman film.
- Star Wars Episode III : Revenge of the Sith - Dark Vader has come in full circle. I get to see Amidala crying over her lost love. I can’t even wait what George Lucas will do with the saga this time around.
- War of the Worlds - It’s the second time around Spielberg and Cruise will team up to bring a classic sci-fi novel of H.G. Wells, who is also the author of The Time Machine. There is also the little wonder Dakota Fanning. Cruise and Fanning will play a father-daughter tandem against an alien invasion. And besides, it’s Spielberg! I have heard that Cruise and Spielberg are also planning to make a movie about the Bataan-Corrigidor death march. I hope it will…
- Bewitched - Its Nicole Kidman and Will Ferell doing the vintage TV series about witches. I have seen the trailer and Nicole is great with her nose wiggling.
- The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe - The classic well-loved childrens’ book is coming to life. I now get to see Arlan, The White Queen and the kids.
- The Brothers Grimm - This film is about the famous brothers who has contributed to the magical imagination of all the people around the world. It stars Matt Damon and Heath Ledger and there’s Monica Belluccii too.
- V for Vendetta - I don’t know much about this comic book but I do now that it will star Natalie Portman and will be written by the Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix series). I a Matrix fan and can’t wait for this one.
- Charlie and Chocolate Factory - It’s a Johnny Depp starrer and helmed by Tim Burton and with lots of chocolate in it.
- King Kong - The classic tale of an ape and a lady is back on the screen one more time with Jack Black, Adrian Brody and the adorable Naomi Watts. Directed by the Lord of the Rings helmer, Peter Jackson, I am sure that this King Kong will become another favorite of mine.
- Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire - I am a bonafide Potter fan and that is all i can say.
And that’s it.
