Humanizing Batman…

It was the best batman movie I have ever seen. I’ve seen all Batman films, from the gothic approach of Tim Burton to the campy versions of Joel Schumacer, and I’ve never seen this kind of Batman. It might take a long time before the action begins, but as the title suggest, it’s Batman Begins, it has to give us the idea on how every starts.
Christian Bale must have been molded to become Batman. He dealt the tortured soul of the young Wayne perfectly, especially his lips. When he talks on his Batman suit, minus the nipples, I get goosebumps. Almost perfect! There’s the lovable Sir Michael Caine as the ever loyal Wayne butler, Alfred. And my all-time favorite actor, Mr. Gary Oldman sporting an American accent. He was unrecognizable. It’s been a long time since I saw him on the screen.
Katie Holmes was a little of a diappointment. Her face is to innocent and childish to be a rough and tough DA. She’s just too cute and cuddly to play the part. Morgan Freeman was also good as the inventor, well he just recently won an Oscarâ„¢, haven’t he?
Chris Nolan and David Goyer must been sent from heaven to save the franchise from being rotten on the WB shelves. Batman is the only superhero who has no superpowers and they dealt with it so fine with no tricks. From his trainings to the costumes and the discovery of the Bat cave, to the idea of FEAR. The word is FEAR. I was so attentive with the narrative because it was just so good.
I’ve read they are gearing up towards the sequel and after a box office success they are readying the script. And director Chris Nolan is eyeing Sean Penn for the role of the Joker. I can’t wait to watch what’s Batman got to do with him….
I’m out!
