Wes Craven is back with RED EYE

When the movie RED EYE opened last wednesday, I couldn’t stop bragging about it to my friends because I have 3 reasons why I have to watch it. One, it’s Rachel MacAdams, I admire her screen presence when I saw her on Mean Girls and Hot Chick. She’s really making a lot of movies now. I haven’t seen her in The Notebook coz I am not a fan of "kilig" movies.
Second, there’s 28 days later-star Cillian Murphy. The guy is really a bad-ass. He has made really good ones which include his being Scarecrow on the latest Batman movie.
Lastly, it’s a Wes Craven movie. I liked and loved his Scream trilogy. The guy really knows how to make a person scream and screech… hehehe…
And I was not disappointed. The movie starts off like some kind of romantic film. Boy meets girl and they begin liked each other. There was never a boring scene as the two actors delivered their dialogue. I enjoyed watching every moment as they get to know each other. We know right then what these two people do for a living. The guy said that is a business man while the lady works as a manager of a pretigious hotel.
As the story continued, we where transported to a thrilling scenario. The guy is an assassin, and wanted the girl to transfer the room of a well-known public official to another room where the official could be assassinated. If she won’t do it, then they have to kill her father.
With a claustrophobic setting of an airplane, you get to feel like you are part of it. I often beg for the other passengers to help her. I haven’t had seen any other films as good as this lately.
After viewing, one of my friend commented that he thought he was going to see some psychological thriller. Some kind of a "Forgotten" one. But he liked the movie for all it’s goodness. It starts off lightly and ended with a thrilling conclusion that I had to hold on to my seat.
By the way, Red Eye is the term use for an overnight flight.
Nice one! I’m out!
