My Being ME…

Last night, I get to intake the essence of the acting of the most beloved Meryl Streep. The Devil Wears Prada is as cunning as the devil herself. Meryl plays the boss from Hell, the editor in chief of a most favorable fashion magazine, Runway, and Anne Hathaway is the newly hired 2nd assistant who has to balance a new life of fashion to her simple non-fashionable old life. She is new to the world of fashion but is experienced in the field of journalism. Anne’s transformation reminds me of her Princess Diaries days. From being not-so-beatiful-and-fashionable to being elegant and extravagant…

What I like about the film is the matter when they deal about Anne’s decision and of Meryl’s. Indeed, when we decide on something, even when it is affected by other forces, should be blamed on us. We have God-given wisdom to think and rethink our possibles actions. Consequences are effects of what we have made. I have made a lot of stupid decisions but I get to live with it, because I made the decision. For better or for worst, it was me who decided. And that’s what the movie concludes. To not blame anyone of what you have done. Nice!

Meryl again is superb. When she utters even a word, it chills to the bone. Wonderful!

She reminds me of a person a know. Although not a she, he makes sure that he doesn’t wear his clothes twice in a month and sometimes months. He likes ukay-ukay, that is where most of his collections came from. I said most not all of them. He’s also cunning when it comes to work, when he speaks, his subordinates listens. At their office, everyone stops moving when he arrive. So much for the comparison.
