Like the movie, PAY IT FORWARD, the incident I’ve encountered this morning is Karma in action
It was a small jeepney I have riden this morning, the common and mostly franchised type of jeepney, the Multi-cab.
I usually take the ride on the corner of Rizal and Anda Sts. There were four of us on the back seat, two guys and two ladies. I was seated at the nearest to the drivers, the other guy with an umbrella and the other lady was on the farthest side from the driver and the other lady was on the middle on the other lady’s lane (Confused? Hehehe). One on the ladies (the one seated on the middle) stopped at the corner of San Pedro, the other guy was counting his money. When the girl got out of the jeepney, the guy’s money was tripped and scattered outside. Unfortunately, the driver didn’t hear the splattering of the coins and started to speed up, the other girl shouted so loud that I thought she saw something horrible. She said, "Manong! Sandali!" The jeepney halted and the guy jumped out of the jeepney and gathered his money. When he got back to his seat, he thanked the lady, the lady smiled in reply. When the jeepney was at the corner of Magallanes, the guy asked the driver to stop. He gave his umbrella to the lady and thanking her for the help. The girl said that she couldn’t accept the gift and it was alright, but the guy insists that the she keep the umbrella. I was having a grin as I looked at the two of them. Then the lady decided to keep the umbrella because she’s doesn’t have a choice, the guy just took off leaving the umbrella. She was smiling looking at the umbrella and she looked at me and said, "Well, it always rains this time of the year and I don’t have an umbrella." I just smiled at her and noticed the the umbrella have a Milo logo on it and I could still see the guy afar and his bag is printed "Nescafe". "I think he works at Nestle because is bag is Nescafe," I told the lady. And she smiled.
Performance of positive action results with the reaction of a good conditioning in one’s experience, whereas a negative action results in a reaction of a bad response.
