Jeepney Diary v 0.0.0000003 (Oh, you know me!)
January 23, 2007 by iamdoods
This is a story which happened yesterday morning. I was in a hurry going to the office so I didn’t took time to look at anybody who are on the jeepney. Along Quezon Blvd., our jeepney hit the side mirror of a parked jeepney, so we got stuck for awhile. I was so frustrated and was about to get out of the jeepney when a girl (she was seated alone on the other side) asked me if I was from Ateneo, I said yes. “What batch?”, she asked. “2001,” I replied. “Bantog ra familiar ka sa akoa, 2001 sad ko.” And I was stunned. Then we continued to talk, asking about work and people we commonly knew.
I was ashamed of myself because the search for her face on my databank (my brain) returned zero result. Even though we both know some people, I still couldn’t find the connection how come she knew me. I’ve even named every possible scenarios, school events, clubs, and classes but still there is none.
Before I arrived at my destination, she gave out her name, “I’m Che, what’s your name?”. “Doods, nice meeting you.” “Nice meeting you, too,” was her last words.
